The Engwe Engine X is designed for riders who want more than just a standard commute. With a powerful motor, long-range battery, and a foldable frame, this electric bike effortlessly bridges the gap between city convenience and all-terrain capability. Whether you're navigating urban streets or exploring rough trails, the Engine X is engineered to perform with durability, comfort, and efficiency.
At the core of the Engwe Engine X is a robust 250W brushless motor that provides a top speed of 25 km/h (15.5 mph). It delivers smooth torque, allowing you to conquer slopes and uneven terrain without strain. Ideal for both city riding and light off-road adventures, the motor combines efficiency with quiet operation, enhancing your overall riding experience.
Equipped with a 48V 13Ah removable lithium battery, the Engine X offers an excellent range of up to 60 miles (96 km) in Pedal Assist Mode and up to 31 miles (50 km) in pure electric mode. Riders seeking even more range can opt for an upgrade to a 16Ah battery. Charging is straightforward and can be done either on or off the bike, making it convenient for daily use or long-distance travel.
The 20x4.0-inch all-terrain fat tires provide superior grip and control across a wide range of surfaces, from urban roads to sand, gravel, and snow. These tires absorb shocks effectively, contributing to a stable and comfortable ride regardless of terrain. Whether you're tackling countryside paths or city potholes, these tires ensure consistent performance and safety.
The Engwe Engine X features a 3-step foldable alloy frame, offering durability and compact convenience. Fold it down quickly for transport or storage—ideal for apartment living, commuting by train, or fitting it in your car boot. Despite its portability, the frame maintains a strong build, supporting a load capacity of up to 120 kg (264 lbs).
The bike comes with front and rear mechanical disc brakes that deliver reliable stopping power in both dry and wet conditions. The Shimano 7-speed gear system provides smooth transitions and helps you adjust your pedaling effort based on terrain. Whether climbing hills or cruising flat roads, the gear system enhances ride efficiency.
Stay informed on the go with a clear LCD display that provides essential metrics including speed, battery level, distance traveled, and assist level. The bike offers three riding modes—Pedal Assist, Electric, and Manual—so you can customize the ride to match your pace, energy level, and route demands.

Pleasantly surprised. It arrived in quick time. Excellent build quality. Easy to assemble. Noted the front forks needed tightening. Lovely looking bike. Family member used it and was impressed. A future customer. Taking it on its first long ride tomorrow.
So let’s start by saying this bike was cheap and good for the price point it came at. Which means it’s alright, but not painless.
It’s basically the little things - the slide slides down if you go over bumps, one of the pedals was cracked from the trip over in the box so had to replace the pedals, the wiring was knocked a little loose too so make sure you get someone to service it once you assemble it to make sure the throttle is working properly. It’s also heavier than it looks so keep that in mind if you want to bring it up stairs, and the motor can struggle a bit on hills.
However- this is me nit picking. Cheap bikes are always a bit rattly and suffer from issues like this. So be prepared for that, but don’t let it discourage you too much. At the end of the day this will do you just fine for your morning work commute, and if you want to do longer or faster trips you should just shell out for a higher end bike.
Very good size.
Hi I am disappointed with the specification off my bike I have bought the bike on recommendation of a friend who has the same bike but his is not restricted and has throttle assist while mine has been restricted to 25km and is pas only if had known about these modifications on the bike I would of not purchased this bike

The bike is beautiful, functional, but very heavy, negative points, it does not come with instructions for assembly, the key kit that came weak, I had to buy a kit to assemble, I paid a fast freight arrived practically from the date as if I had not paid, pedal came broken, crooked chain crown, I did not find the battery life sufficient for discriminated use, I use it to commute home and work, a matter of 15 min round trip, sad speed, a basic scooter beats it easily, battery lasted 2 days, the pedal that holds it upright if you're not careful it falls, I confess I found it strange too, not comfortable at all, I thought it would be a great bike for the price paid, it's not bad, but I idealized something much better and didn't expect all these complications. But in any case, it's a beautifully designed bike. I regret it.
